This post is extra special because we are making a color palette/combos! I thought this was a really fun idea to experiment with different colors that not everyone might come up with to put together! I took some fun fall photos and also got my boyfriend to join in on the fun ;). I also have 2 flatlays with extra inspiration & details on how to style different color palette’s together!
This flatlay’s I made today give you an extra view of pairing and layering fun fall staples. I wanted to make sure I included 4 outfit ideas ideally for the season and how you can interchange them all. Vests and light jackets are key to staying warm, adding a layer, or a fun texture/pattern to the mix. Camo, pleather, & faux fur are perfect to stay warm and chic. Both these boots and pants are perfect staples to any outfit. Blue jeans if you want something simple or the pleather leggings to add some texture, and black thigh high boots/cognac booties have been a favorite this fall. When it comes to sweaters I love knit patterns to be neutrals then pair with patterned jackets or scarfs.
I love dark browns, blacks, purples, maroons, olives, and mustard for the season. I tried to stay within my purple theme I have had for this fall. I paired an antique purple color with lace detail with my FAVORITE cardigan this season with bell sleeves at the end. My favorite stretchy blue jeans from Curvy Sense was a no-brainer since they are so soft and comfortable. Boots were hard because I didn’t have anything as light as my jacket but ended up liking my suede brown boots, it really completed the ensemble and gave me a different color combo finish!
I am not an expert in male fashion but I thought this would be a fun change from what I usually do. I think male fall fashion is easy. You basically can pair any jacket with a button down, soft sweater/henley, or a graphic tee and you are set. I personally love the plaid, camo look with straight leg jeans where you can cuff at the end or chinos. These chinos from Bonobos have crisp colors and great fits. Any type of distress denim, hoodie pleather jacket, and military style jacket are perfect to layer with this season.
My bf is super sweet and took photos for me so I didn’t just have a flatlay but a male perspective as well. They turned out great for his first appearance on the blog! Zach is wearing a soft knit short sleeve shirt that is a heather grey. He paired it up with a fun plaid button down for some layer. It is a little colder there so he bundled up with this black peacoat and a scarf. Finally finishing the outfit off with some classic blue jeans and hightops.
Hope you enjoyed this post! I look forward to writing some more fall posts 🙂
