I am going to be out of town for a wedding this week so I took these photos before I left. 🙂 I love weddings so much I actually wish I had more of them to go to! When I worked retail I loved having guests tell me about the wedding they were going to/having.
For me, there are a few plus size stores I really think cater to a more dressy/formal wedding guest option. I want to include some affordable and some pricer options depending on what you have the coin for and you want to splurge. I personally am going to be wearing this dress from ASOS Curve. I found it on sale for $50 and it fits me pretty great! It is a tad long in the sleeves and flares out in the skirt area where I would like it to be more straight. I did size up to a 24 since I wasn’t sure if they ran small or not.

I have a bought a few items from ASOS Curve along with my dress above. I do have to say that they run true to size which is great. I also think that the fabric for each item I have received has been great quality. The first option I am giving from ASOS is the closest I found to my dress I bought. I think wearing navy for special occasions has always been my go to, I think it just looks really classy. I found ASOS’s options are so delicate and pretty. They have lots of different colorful options in satin, lace, and tulle.
Another great affordable dress option is from Dressbarn. I used to buy my homecoming dresses from here in high school every year! They’re comfortable and stylish and they don’t break the bank. I went ahead and picked a few I found I really liked from their website. You can never go wrong with a little black dress or A-line dress for a wedding. They have lots of patterned dresses but everything is very simple.
Some of my favorite dresses I own right now are from Avenue. Not only are they stylish and comfortable but they’re always doing a deal. I do recommend sizing up as I do have a large bust and tummy so I want a little more room (normally I am a true 22). The middle geo print dress is probably my favorite I found on their website. That would be so cute to wear for an engagement party as well as a wedding guest. If you are into different types of materials or textures then Avenue is your best bet. They have patterns, colors, and florals all mixed with satins, suedes, lace, etc.
I loved doing a post like this-this week guys so I really hope you enjoyed!
