I love makeup so much. I am always on the hunt for new products and you can catch me watching tutorials all day every day. I miss talking more about it because I try new products constantly! So I thought I would round up the best dupes I have found for high-end makeup.
Now some of these are obviously not straight up dupes but the quality and consistency are similar. Specifically, I am referring to the eyeshadow palettes. I haven’t been able to find a straight up dupe for some of my Anastasia, Urban Decay, Huda palette’s that are my holy grails. I am a firm believer that you should not break the bank when it comes to your makeup but there are some items I love splurging on because I do think I get better quality.
L’Oréal Lash Paradise Vs Too Faced Better Than Sex
Did you see this coming? I know everyone and their mother has heard of this dupe and you’re probably over it. However, let me tell you when I say I think that drugstore mascaras are BETTER than high end 99% of the time I am not exaggerating. Sometime’s I think the Better Than Sex mascara can get spidery and is a very wet formula. Whereas the Lash Paradise is that perfect in between that makes my lashes super full and wispy. Not only is the packaging and wand applicator the same but they perform the same outcome too.
BH Cosmetics Hawaii Eyeshadow Palette Vs Tartelette In Bloom Palette
Now obviously these are not dupes of each other 100%. But I wanted to say that I feel like everyone loves Tartes shadows and I even have one from a boxy charm box I got a while ago. I think they are okay but when I tried them it reminded me of BH shadows of how buttery and minimal fallout they have. I have been dreaming of this affordable summer palette. If you don’t want to spend $40 on a palette then don’t! I highly recommend checking out BH I have a ton of their palettes and they’re so affordable and high quality.
NYX Epic Liquid Eyeliner Vs Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner
This one I am most excited about because I will never go back to Kat Von D eyeliner, ever again. I bought it thinking well high end maybe it’ll be better with my watery/sensitive eyelids. But it would go away after a few hours when I did wings. I tried NYX on a whim after seeing my fav Youtuber Kristi use it. And I have not looked back. This product checks all my boxes, it is such a black liner, felt tip applicator, its long-lasting, and its affordable.
Colourpop Supernova Shadow Vs Stila Glitter Shadow
Okay, I lied this one is the one I am most hyped about. I own both Stila and Colourpop glitter shadows. Can you guess which I grab for more? If you guessed Colourpop you would be correct. I have 6 of these okay. SIX. Because in my opinion, they are superior to all glitter shadows. My only complaint is when the first came out they were a little hard to get out of the tube but the formula is so much better now. I find myself reaching for it more than my Stila just because I think it’s more practical use, easy to blend and control, and if I run out its only $7 to replace it.
Wet n Wild Bronzer Vs PUR Mineralized Bronzer
I used to use their bronzers in high school and they have come such a long way. Drugstore face products, in general, have really improved and are way less orange. I picked up both of these bronzers and use them both they’re so creamy and soft. The only con for the Wet n Wild ones is if you don’t like kick up in the pan this one definitely is a light hand and you get lots of product.
Cody Airspun Translucent Powder Vs Too Faced Peach Translucent Powder
If you’ve been living under a rock then welcome to the best powder ever that will last you years. I don’t wear makeup every day however I have had this powder for over a year and it is still pretty full guys. I was using the Laura Mercier translucent powder for a while and I didn’t notice a difference when I started using airspun. In fact, I think it does better than that and the Too Faced peach powder.
Wet n Wild Highlighter Vs OFRA Rodeo Drive
It is a tie between Wet n Wild and Maybelline and Colourpop highlighters when it comes to best affordable highlighter at the drugstore. I bought this highlighter on a whim realizing I hadn’t had a new highlighter recently and wow. A little goes a long way and it reminded me so much of OFRA’s highlighters. Specifically the ride or die rodeo drive that everyone raves about. If you want a glow on a budget this one is it its called Pretty Petals.
Milani Luminoso Blush Vs Tarte Clay Blush
Blush is where I really struggle to try to find anything that is not crazy looking or zero pigment. I think Milani really kills it when it comes to their face products. I especially love their baked blushes. When I am wearing more high end sometimes I find I’ll start to reach for Milani more and more because I like the glowy finish it will give me versus a matte.
Makeup Revolution Concealer Vs Tarte Shape Tape
It is so hard for me to admit that I do not like the cult favorite Tarte Shape Tape… I know who am I! I tried so hard to like it guys I really did. But I felt it was too dry for my under eyes. It could be because of my foundation but I could tell you 5 different concealers that are better than Tarte. Maybelline Fit Me, Flower Beauty, Makeup Revolution, Colourpop, and Elf’s new concealer I have seen reviews and side by sides. All the rest I have used and they outperform Tarte 100%. Specifically, the makeup revolution one is now a holy grail for me there is no way I can go without it.
LA Girl Pro Matte Foundation Vs Fenty Beauty Foundation
This one might be my all-time favorite foundation I have ever used ever. And it is so underrated yall! I don’t think I have ever seen anyone else use this foundation besides Stephanie Pernas. I still think Fenty’s is amazing and out of this world matte. But for photo shoots, I want maximum coverage and matte. I tried it last year after watching Casey Holmes on youtube and I have been blown away ever since. You can’t get better than a long-lasting, affordable, matte, and high coverage foundation.
Colourpop Satin Liquid Lipstick Vs Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit
I have wanted to do a comparison of the two for a while so this is basically my chance to finally do that. Cokourpop is better ya’ll. Like 10000000% better in my opinion. I am super biased because I love Colourpop so much. But I genuinely think because they are made in the same facility and have 90% of the same ingredients they are the same thing and you’re just buying Kylie’s product you are only buying them for the name. I felt that the quality of their matte was very thin compared to Colourpop’s and I really like Kylie’s shades. But I don’t pick them up near as much because I know they won’t last. If you want a separate post comparing the two I would be happy to do it!
Colourpop Yes Please Eyeshadow Palette Vs Urban Decay Naked Heat
This palette is also not a direct dupe but I feel that the consistency of the shades are similar. If you’re considering shelling out $50 for a naked palette I highly consider looking into Colourpop’s pallette’s first as you get the same amount of shades for more than half the price and they’re the same quality if not better. I have the Naked Cherry palette and I love it but I notice that it performs the same if not worse as sometimes the shades can get muddy.
I hope you guys enjoyed!
