Let’s sit down and play with some new makeup shall we? I received my May boxycharm a few weeks ago and wanted to share my thoughts. I have used BoxyCharm on and off for the last year and really enjoy the subscription service. You might remember I did a collab with Erin from this post last year. I always find a new brand I didn’t know I needed in my life. Like in December I received this translucent powder in my box from Vanity and wow it is the best powder I have ever used.
I also decided to do their BoxyLuxe box for June. I am so happy I did because I love all of the products. I will try posting that later this month! That box is an extension so you get 9-12 full sized items instead of the regular 5 and its 4 times through the year you can pay an additional $28.
Today I’ll be scoring each item out of 5, listing the items price, as well as the name below. If you’re unfamiliar with BoxyCharm they are a $20 monthly subscription service that have 5 full sized beauty products ranging from hair care, makeup, and skincare all having a theme for each month. I personally have always enjoyed paying the $20 for full sized products that are all in a common theme and go together rather than $10 a month for trial sizes you can only use 2-3 times.
I am always a fan of Vintage. I have 2 lipliners and some eyeliners from them and they are very creamy and dont pull or tug. I really like this mauve rosey color in this months box. These are always some of my favorite things to get mostly because I hate buying lipliners and having a basic one in my box every other month is great! I am scoring this a 5/5.
I am torn on this because I definitely want to love this trio. I was looking for a good peachy palette but I just think these colors are too strong pigment wise. They’re in your face and a little clowny for my taste. Now that doesn’t mean I won’t use it because I will but I just use the lightest hand to swipe this on. I am scoring this a 3/5.
Any type of liquid glitter eye is a win in my book. I thoroughly enjoyed the color pigment in this one from Ciate. I have never used this brand before either. So I didn’t know what to expect. I love the applicator it goes on super smooth and a lot of product gets picked up. I do think it comes off over time but I love that I can blend it really easily with shadows.
I am still using this and seeing if I notice any difference. When I got my boxes I started getting some breakouts around my chin and I am wondering if it’s this cleanser. I love the packaging… But I don’t care for the smell and the consistency is very thick. I will continue to use this and see what I think but so far I don’t see a dramatic difference. I am scoring this a 2.5/5.

I really liked the color of this gloss. I will say that mine was rather sticky and smeary. So when I was eating food or drinking water I felt like it did slide a bit. but I did apply way too much. A little definitely went a long way with this brand. I would definitely check out some of their other colors. I thought this was a perfect shade for a warm summer look! I am scoring this a 4/5.
Because there was no eyeshadow palette I used a few shades from an old BoxyCharm palette I got this past December and just some regular mascara no eyeliner because I wanted you to see the eyeshadow clearly. Overall I really enjoyed this months (lol its june now) box and I am going to continue my subscription!
Hope you guys enjoyed!
